Join the team behind every case.
Parra Klein is a growing personal injury trial firm in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. We’re looking for people who care about clients, move quickly and want to keep learning.
What it’s like to work here
Parra Klein started with two trial lawyers, Arlene M. Parra and Brian A. Klein. Today we’re a team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff who represent injured people across New Jersey and New York.
We’re a newer firm, and that shapes the work. Things move fast, you’ll see cases from many angles, and good ideas about how to do things better get heard and used. It suits people who like a busy, collaborative office and don’t mind change.
Our clients have often just been through the worst week of their lives. Everyone here, from the front desk to the partners, plays a part in how they’re treated. We serve clients in English, Spanish, Arabic and Korean, so being bilingual is a real plus.
What we offer
Full-time roles include the benefits below. Each opening lists its own pay and any extras for that role.
Health, dental and vision
Medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
Paid time off
Paid time off for vacations, appointments and life outside the office.
Paid holidays
Paid holidays throughout the year.
Work with trial lawyers
You’ll work directly with the partners, on cases that run from the first phone call to settlement or verdict. No layers of management in between.
Room to grow
The firm has grown quickly, and responsibility grows with it. Strong performers get a path to more autonomy and higher pay.
Your languages count
We serve clients in English, Spanish, Arabic and Korean every day, and we value teammates who speak other languages too.
Open roles
Updated October 30, 2026. Where a role shows a range, your pay within it depends on your experience and qualifications.
Associate Attorney Personal injury, plaintiff side
We have an active caseload and an established support team, and we need a litigator who moves cases forward. You’ll have real files and meaningful litigation work from day one. The role can be shaped around your experience.
What you’ll do
- Manage a caseload of motor vehicle, premises liability and other plaintiff-side injury matters.
- Take and defend depositions regularly.
- Handle arbitrations, mediations, court appearances, conferences and motion practice throughout New Jersey.
- Negotiate directly with insurance carriers and push matters toward resolution.
- Evaluate liability, damages, medical records, expert reports and settlement value.
- Prepare cases for trial and take part in trials as your experience allows.
- Work directly with the partners on strategy and major decisions.
What we’re looking for
- At least one year of personal injury litigation experience, on the plaintiff or insurance-defense side.
- Admission to the New Jersey bar. New York admission is a meaningful plus.
- Deposition experience suited to your level of practice.
- Strong writing, communication and negotiation skills.
- Sound judgment and the drive to take ownership of a busy caseload.
- Trial or second-chair experience, or a real interest in becoming a trial lawyer, is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Mandarin, Korean or another language is a plus.
Pay and benefits. Base salary of $70,000 to $200,000 depending on experience, litigation ability and independence, plus a performance-based bonus opportunity. No billable-hour requirement. Health, dental, vision and life insurance, paid time off, bar dues, and CLE and professional development support. Defense-side attorneys looking to move to plaintiff work are strongly encouraged to apply.
Front Desk Receptionist First point of contact for the firm
You’re the first person clients see when they walk in and often the first voice they hear when they call. You set the tone for how they’re treated, and you keep the front of the office running smoothly.
What you’ll do
- Greet clients, visitors and deliveries warmly and professionally.
- Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system.
- Respond to voicemail and email inquiries promptly.
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar.
- Receive and distribute mail and deliveries.
- Handle filing, scanning and data entry, and keep the reception area and conference rooms ready.
- Work with the legal assistants and attorneys to make sure clients get what they need.
What we’re looking for
- Excellent spoken and written communication.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- A professional, welcoming manner, including with callers who are stressed or upset.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office, scanners and phone systems.
- Reliable, punctual and able to multitask in a fast-paced office.
- Care and discretion with confidential information.
Benefits. Health, dental, vision and life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and parental leave, with room to grow inside a busy firm.
